Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a life-saving medical procedure used in the setting of cessation cardiac and respiratory function patient to maintain vital functions. CPR was developed 1950s as mouth resuscitation. Defibrillation, chest compression ventilation were added 1960. Chest compressions are thought be most important aspect adequate performance required for successful emphasized recent guidelines. However, may source injury ribs, sternum, spleen, stomach, or liver. We present case 30-year-old female with end-stage renal disease, hypertension, polysubstance abuse, GERD who underwent resulting grade 4 liver laceration. The new guidelines Advanced Cardiac Life Support emphasize need regular forceful during which, although proper result significant injuries viscera seen this patient. aim report highlight possible complications its long-term consequences.
